The AGPAL Group supports the ACCREDIT Project
Strengthening organisational performance through accreditation research: the ACCREDIT Project
Beginning in 2010, a partnership was formed between researchers at the University of New South Wales and the Board and staff of Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).
The ACCREDIT Project aims to conduct a series of studies into accreditation. The project is investigating the extent to which accreditation leads to improved organisational performance, quality of care and patient satisfaction in the health system, an early adopter sector with advanced accreditation processes. The study will continue until 2015.
The project aims to:
- Evaluate current accreditation processes
- Analyse the costs and benefits of accreditation
- Improve future accreditation via evidence, and
- Develop and apply new standards of consumer involvement in accreditation.
The AGPAL Group of Companies proudly support the ACCREDIT Project.
