Day Procedure Services and Facilities
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) specifies that all licenced day procedure services and hospitals must be accredited against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards as part of the Australian Health Service Safety and Quality Accreditation (AHSSQA) Scheme.
Day procedure services are accredited against the NSQHS Standards (second edition) since 1 January 2019.
Part of the AGPAL Group of Companies, QIP brings together a comprehensive combination of history, expertise, experience and knowledge from delivering accreditation services and support to primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare organisations across Australia.
This unique insight has allowed us to create innovative software solutions, resources, tools, education and training, and personalised support offerings to make accreditation with QIP and positive and quality-focused experience.
QIP is one of a select few organisations approved by the Commission to provide accreditation against the NSQHS Standards (second edition).
QIP is dedicated to supporting day procedure services to achieve better outcomes for their patients and staff through effective risk management, and safety and quality systems.
A quality approach to accreditation with QIP
QIP’s support systems and assessment processes allow day procedure services to use accreditation as a mechanism to drive continuous quality improvement to enhance their levels of high-quality patient care and safety. Our team is available to guide day procedure services through the NSQHS Standards and evidence requirements to ensure their accreditation experience is a positive one.
QIP accreditation supports day procedure services to reassure patients of their high levels of safety, quality of care and service provision while adhering to national minimum benchmarks. It also ensures day procedure services meet State and Territory jurisdictional requirements for accreditation, related to licencing of day procedure units, and the accreditation requirements of private health funds.
Recognising the importance of ongoing professional development, in addition to QIP’s client benefits listed below, we are also proud to offer QIP hospital clients exclusive access to a Nursing Scholarship with the University of Tasmania.
QIP client exclusive benefits
Recognising the importance of this and the key role healthcare workers play within health service organisations across Australia, QIP and the University of Tasmania (UTAS) are proud to provide H4F Bachelor of Nursing with Professional Honours (Specialisation) Scholarships for eligible QIP clients.
This exclusive QIP client benefit with UTAS supports our shared commitment to assist in the development of a contemporary healthcare workforce by providing quality-focused workers an opportunity to develop their professional and clinical practice skills, at a heavily subsidised rate.
