The primary role of a QIP Assessor or Auditor is an important one, to assess the safety and quality of services that QIP clients provide. Our assessors and auditors are selected based upon their extensive knowledge and experience of accreditation, certification, and verification of various national frameworks and standards.
Assessors and auditors are the faces of QIP’s accreditation programs for health, disability and community service organisations in Australia.
QIP engages professionals with relevant experience and knowledge in healthcare, community and disability services who have an enthusiasm for quality. As professional peers, assessors and auditors have a unique opportunity to promote continuous quality improvement, while developing their own professional skills and gaining a unique insight into the diverse contexts of health, community and disability service providers across Australia.
The QIP Team is fortunate to have had assessors and auditors who have worked with us for over 20 years, who are committed to being positive change agents in their profession within health services, health systems, and community organisations and care services, including health, disability and human services.
Benefits of being a QIP Assessor or Auditor
QIP Assessors and Auditors join our contract workforce and are remunerated per assessment. There is no requirement for QIP Assessors or Auditors to ‘give up’ their current working commitments, as assessment commitments fit within professional and personal life. As often or as little as desired, so long as it meets the minimum requirement of annual assessments and audits.

Pathways to becoming a QIP Assessor or Auditor
QIP’s comprehensive assessor and auditor training programs ensure all potential assessors and auditors are supported through the process of becoming a qualified QIP Assessor or Auditor.
QIP’s free eLearning modules enhance the learning experience allowing you to undertake self-paced learning against topics such as Assessor and Auditor Induction, relevant Standards, AccreditationPro, Report Quality Framework and Report Writing, cultural and diversity training. As your assessor or auditor experience deepens, we provide further annual training to support and enhance your assessment and audit skills and offer professional networking opportunities to help you build relationships and exchange knowledge with your peers.
Complaints
QIP welcomes feedback, positive or negative as part of our continuous quality improvement process.
Complaints about the assessor or auditor training program, onboarding process or eLearning will be accepted either verbally or in writing. Click here to lodge a complaint at any time.
To ensure all aspects of a complaint can be accurately investigated, it is preferred that all formal complaints are received in writing, either electronically or in hard copy. QIP will acknowledge within two business days of receipt of your complaint, and confirm with you QIP’s complaints management procedure.
